Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standard

The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) is a mandatory requirement on all organisations that process credit card or debit card payments, develop products for payment card transactions and/or store payment card details.

PCI DSS requirements are applicable if an Primary Account Number (PAN) is stored, processed, or transmitted. If a PAN is not stored, processed, or transmitted, PCI DSS requirements do not apply.

The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures. This comprehensive standard is intended to help organizations proactively protect customer account data
